kind of a review for me.

It was been a while since we have posted any blogs, but I guess its better late, than never. Things have definately changed in the last 2ish months.
WE GOT MARRIED!! :D
October 17th is the day we promised ourselves to eachother for always, and I became Young forever.
Our Due date for baby Judah Matthew is coming up so quickly. We plan on having his baby shower sometime in January. We are so excited to see what the little guy looks like (I hope he has his daddy's smile). Tomorrow (December 9th) we will be 32 weeks along. Our baby boy is getting so big. On Tuesday the 12th, we have a doctors appointment for the second big untrasound and prenatal check up. From what I have gathered, we will be able to see how much he weighs and exactly how long he is by the length of his lil bones. I am so excited to see him!!!
From November 28th untill December 9th, I am stuck in Las Vegas taking a two week StageCraft course so that when I do go back to work, I can get more calls. I have learned a few things, but a lot of the things we've done I've seen done a couple dozen times, or have done it multiple times myself. I am learning about Cables, the names and their uses. It's crazy realizing how many cable are out there that do so many different things. I have been trained to be able to identify over 200 pieces of equipment suck as electrics, Audio, and AV(audio visual), and also gear for rigging. In the Carpenter part of the class was a 2 day training process. They sent us to the scenic shop. IT WAS FREEZING. In the shop they had us set up a couple kinds of screen (fast fold, truss screen, and then another with a screen surround). we pipe and draped, and were told how to dress the drapes. we also built a couple stages. On of the stages had a 4x4 piece missing, so they showed us how to make what we call a "plug-in". I ended up taking the plug-in to use as a table for projects. ALSO there was a two day course about CPR, First-aid, and blood born pathogens. I'm certified by OSHA is all 3. :D
So,.. Pretty much I used this blog as a review of what I've learned in this course. I guess it kind of helps to be able to explain a couple of those things.
The ground rigging class is another 2 week course (I can't take the course untill after Judah is born, cause we are to close to our due date). BUT the differance in the ground rigging course and the stagecraft course is that I can test out of the ground rigger course if I'd like to. So I picked up the Field Manual for Ground Rigging from the Training Truss. Getting a ground rigger card into the system will get me another pay raise, and a lot more work. :D I'm excited to see where this takes me, but I'm even more excited to see my husband tomorrow evening. I've missed him so much.

Baby Update

As we all know, we got a little boy coming into the world, and we couldn't be more excited.
We've decided on the name Judah Matthew Young. John looked up the meaning and he translated it to, "to praise our gift from God".
We are 19 weeks this week, and he is growing so fast.
His sensory development is exploding. His brain is designating areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision and touch. Some research says that he may even be able to hear the noises going on around him. So now when people start talking to my belly, he can actually hear them now. haha
He weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and from head to bottom he measures about 6 inches long. He's even growing hair on his lil head. Along with developing 'vernix caseoso', which is a protective coat to prevent him from "pickling" in the amniotic fluid.
Baby Judah is coming fast. :D we can't wait to welcome him into our world, and start our lil family of John Jenn and Judah Young.

Pink or Blue Pink or Blue Pink or Blue....?

BLUE!!!!

We went to visit with our Dr. on Tuesday (Dr. Sanders who we love!)  First the took us into a room showed us our progress, told me the difference in my belly size, :D and then we heard the heart beat. Our lil one was thumping away at 156 beats a minute. Then they sent us back out into the waiting room, to wait for the ultrasound. When they FINALLY took us back again, (along with my sappy twin sister, Mary) they warned us, we might not be able to tell the sex yet. BUT THEY DID!!!
We're having a boy. I grabbed John by the face and kissed him, while Mary was sitting in the chair in the far corner of the room, crying looking up at that huge screen displaying our baby! oh my gosh is was so excited. Then she flipped on the 3D image. now that was the bee's knees. haha we are so super excited.
We really like the name Judah Matthew Young. You can call him Jude. :D

If you look close enough in this picture, you can see his lil arm stretching up toward his eyes, and his legs curled up under him. (This is the 3D picture).

This is where the picture they took showing us we have a boy, it's a little blurred, I apologize. but you can see it for the most part. http://www.facebook.com/jennifer.m.white2

The excitement keeps building

After taking part in our good friends wedding (Mr. and Mrs. Hodges), we started getting even more excited about the wedding of our own. With Lydia as our minister we are so thrilled to be that much closer to having everything we need. We have two places to way the options of for location, but we haven't yet decided. ALTHOUGH we have decided on a date. September 30th.

We also have a lot of excitement about the coming up week. :D On Tuesday we have an untrasound appointment to see if we can tell the gender of our baby!! we can't wait. Hopefully he or she wants the world to see who they are on Tuesday. We looked at the Chinese zodiac calender (which claims to be 90% accurate) and it said Boy. so we'll but the calender to the test. We will come back with more details and hopefully some pictures as soon as we know. :D

the +one of the family

We have a few names, but right now their just ideas:
Jude
Oliver
(mix the two maybe? Oliver Jude?)
the name Nolan has come into conversation, too.

13 WEEK PREGNANCY
Your baby is actually quite large by now, a whopping 3 inches long in some cases and weighs in at roughly .7 ounces. By 13 weeks pregnant your baby's intestines are working on maturing and your baby's tiny pancreas is working hard to produce insulin. This will help your baby regulate her blood sugar levels in the months and years following delivery.
Your baby's eyes also start to move closer to the center of your baby's head. The head can move easily from side to side and up and down, and the facial features are starting to form. Your baby's arms have almost reached final proportion and length, though the legs are still quite short relative to the baby's body. At 13 weeks pregnant, your baby can now probably flex its arms and kick its legs. He or she may also be able to put a thumb in his or her mouth, although the sucking muscles are not yet completely developed.
The sockets for all twenty teeth are formed in the gums, and vocal cords are beginning to form. Other things happening at this time are the appearance of fingernails, the beginnings of fingerprints and footprints, the start of vocal cord formation, the appearance of visible ribs. The trachea, lungs, stomach, liver, pancreas, and intestines are developing into their final functioning form.

it's so exciting to see week by week whats happening with our lil monkey!

Introducing John,Jenn+One

John (23)
Jenn (21)
2 years ago, in July, we met. We kicked off quick. Became close friends almost instantly. We moved in together the following May. But the catch was that we were just 'friends' at this time. We never ever even kissed.
We shared a bed for 6 months. We had a rough patch, like any good relationship has. We started living together again in February of 2011. One night, things sparked between the two of us, in a completely different fashion. We let our relationship grow within itself. Since the begining of this new found relationship, we got a dog. What kind? I couldn't tell ya, but he's cute and we love him. His name is, Jack. He is a spontanious, hyper, exciting addition to our lil family. BUT Jack is not our +One. Our +one is nearly 14 weeks in the whomb. Which means we've passed the threshold and have moved into the second trimester. We haven't picked out any names yet, but we have a few we're pondering (we don't reject ideas =D). We have lots of dreams, but which one we act on first, we can't tell you quit yet.
We want to take a road trip to where ever the road guides us, from town to town, and find a place for our family to start and grow. where ever we can make it, where ever we can be happy together, the four of us. We want to find a place that has comfort, land and trees. We have a dream of building a tree house for us to live in. I don't mean 4 walls balancing in a tree that a group of kids built in their childhood. I mean a house with everything you need in a house. Running water, power, sewer, etc. but that dream is for a different post.
     That's the jist of us.
